The River Assembly is a series of meetings, workshops and collective conversations. For this second edition at Dock B, we're tackling 4 themes:

Art, Health, Democracy and Heritage.

The River Assembly is a militant meeting to discover and (re)see the river as a learning and commitment environment: culture, nature, history, health and democracy. Whether you're a seasoned activist or a leisurely expert, alone or with your family, come, listen and express yourself. With your feet in the water, your voice on the microphone or your hand on the pen, let's make the river an open Seine or a precious discussion channel.

In collaboration with the Odyssée festival and the Fluctuation music project.

PROGRAM

TALKS SUNDAY JUNE 23

2PM

ART CONVERSATION

Laurence Baron RELAIS CULTURE EUROPE
Ricardo Esteban ODYSSEE
Nicolas Dhers FLUCTUATIONS

The river is the most beautiful scene. That's what the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games reminds us, outside the stadium, on the Seine. Create, animate, broadcast around and on the water. The river is also the ideal place to combine creation and ecology, to connect stories in a Europe that is no longer a quiet river.

HEALTH CONVERSATION

Gaële Rouillé-Kielo EAU DANS LA VILLE (CD93)

Elodie Agamennone WATER FAMILY
Marie Anquez I Severine Delbosq VILLE DE L'ILE-SAINT-DENIS

The water we drink, bathe in or splash around in is intrinsically linked to our well-being and health. When the Paris City Council aims to make the Seine swimmable again, it's a whole range of natural leisure activities that opens up and a real virtuous circle that begins, having a direct impact on all living beings of which human is a part.

3.30PM

MOVIE BREAK

Screening and presentation of the European HARBORS BCN project, a 9-month adventure in Barcelona involving maritime ecology and the construction of a small wooden dinghy with 60 schoolchildren.

Marine Calmet WILD LEGAL
Amandine Ilolo DEMOCRATIE OUVERTE
Yoan Ollivier AGENCE VRAIMENT VRAIMENT

Rivers are waking up and inviting us to their Assembly. They're letting us know with militant organizations and design methods that serve communities that aren't wimps. In the actual ecological storm, natural spaces and species need to be considered and represented: thanks to various testimonials, we'll see how to get on board and invite the living to the table of local policies.

And if regeneration means rediscovery. If certain ideas from the past teach us the art of thinking about our relationship with water, what about tomorrow? Energy, housing, transport, nutrition: the innovations of our forebears are well worth a closer look.
